SENIORS
Thank you for considering having me as your senior portrait photographer!
I’m based in Portland, Oregon and have been shooting seniors, families, dance, as well as my personal fine art model photography all over Washington and Oregon since 2015.
Senior sessions are 1-2 hours long and can be planned for any time of day. For best results, we will want a wide-open nature park location, with parking available, and shade. Payment is $375.00 USD and due before or day-of-session. We can do PayPal, Cash, or written Cheque.
The first thing you’ll receive is a private PixieSet web gallery that only you and I can view. It will contain low-resolution samples/proofs of all the images. “Hearting” any images via the PixieSet website will automatically create a “favorites” list. This will tell me which images you want edited, retouched, and delivered.
The fully edited and highest-resolution images will be electronically delivered via Dropbox link. It will contain all the images you “hearted” via the PixieSet, and also any additional images I personally think look best. Turn around is generally within a day or two, depending on how much editing/retouching is required plus how many images there are. Most people select around 20-35 images from about 400 samples/proofs but it’s not uncommon to choose 60-100. Please keep in mind the more you select, the longer it will take to complete. Additionally, a SanDisk thumb drive can be physically mailed to you in a high security envelope afterward for $15.00.
You can do anything you want with your images. You do not have to tag or credit me either (though it is much appreciated). Watermark removal is available exclusively for seniors, families, and weddings for $25 (families and seniors) - $50 (weddings).
To ensure that everyone has the best experience possible, it's important that we have a conversation about everything beforehand. I want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time before, during, and after. Email hello@stephanpartipilo.com. We'll schedule a brief video call meeting and consultation to discuss everything. I'll also answer any questions and will be easier to make plans. Thanks so much for your time and consideration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I bring a friend? A. Yes, you should absolutely bring someone(s) with you. You do not have to come alone. The photoshoot is for you however. We can take one or two portraits with you and your friend(s) and/or family members but most of the photos will be solo individual portraits.
Q. How many outfits can I bring? A. As many as we can fit within 1-2 hours. I find that’s generally 2-3 different looks.
Q. What should I wear? A. My go-to recommended guidelines are to stick with solid colors and light-weight layerable clothing. Avoid patterns because those can sometimes camouflage with nature or city backgrounds. Avoid neon colors and/or feathery garments that might distract from you and take the viewers focus away from your face. If you have a cap and gown, bring that. If you have a plain white t-shirt with regular or straight cut jeans, bring that too. Those are always a good starting point. You can add a plaid button up, or plain hoodie, or denim or leather jacket over it. During Spring and Summer, many outlets also sell seasonal dresses which can also go nice with jackets and various accessories. For jewelry, do not mix gold with silver. Avoid any logos, graphics, and/or statements.
Q. Can I have the RAW files? A. Yes. I offer two delivery options and two scenarios for how we can go about this. Contact me. We’ll schedule a video call consultation and we can discuss details.
Q. What will you do with my senior or family portraits? Will you use them in your stock image fine art business? A. With your permission I may want to use a few images on my social media and website to show my latest senior or family portraiture work experience, and also to advertise my senior or family portrait service business. However, I will NOT profit from the images. I will NOT use the images on my fine art store. My fine art model photography business is a completely separate business under the same name.
I want to point out that I have shot with younger models, who eventually became seniors. For example, both Ella and Leiya had shot with me regularly and eventually wanted senior photos. So we created a unique plan just for them. So you may notice as you browse my website, social media, and store that a few of the photoshoots are both senior sessions and also fine art model photoshoots. But this was discussed prior with each person and a unique plan was created. This is some thing we can discuss at our consultation if interested but it is not something I advertise.
Q. Do you take photos of other things besides seniors and family portraits? A. Yes. I have experience mainly photographing humans. This includes weddings, family portrait sessions, newborns, maternity, quinceanera’s or birthday or milestone days, couples, engagement, private corporate parties or gatherings such as company holiday events, staff head shots or faculty portraits, passport head shots, model test head shots, acting/actor headshots, clothing/fashion photography for brands, artist profile photos for musicians and music artists and painters, and I have some experience also doing macro product photography for jewelry and/or cannabis products. But I only advertise publicly my seniors, families, and weddings photography. The main non-traditional photography I am known for is my personal fine art model photography, and digital fine art store which came out 2020. It is a completely separate business practice under the same name Stephan Partipilo LLC.
